Hey beautiful people.

Before we get into it, if you prefer podcasts, you can listen to this blog post here on the Hustling 4 Happiness podcast. I’ll always have an audio version of each post so look for it at the top of each article.

Something that drives me crazy is the word “someday.”

Not in the hopeful sense because it normally isn’t used that way. I’m talking about when people speak about their goals.

They know what they want. They are clear about it and then instead of taking action, they utter “someday…”

Someday” I’ll learn piano. “Someday” I’ll write that book. “Someday” I’ll start that business. “Someday” I’ll get in shape….

Last time I checked, “Someday” is not a day of the week. It’s vague. It’s unclear. There’s no day on the calendar called “Someday.”

So, why do we say that?

Newton’s First Law of Motion states: “an object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force……..objects will remain in their state of motion unless a force acts to change their motion.”

Unless a force acts to change their motion.

When you’re uttering “someday” you’re not changing anything. You’re waiting. You’re stalling. You’re wasting time.

You see most people believe that motivation precedes action. I don’t believe that.

Action precedes motivation!

When you start something and then finish it? It gives you a sense of pride and accomplishment! Then, you’re motivated to check something else off of your list!

Most people wait to feel motivated or to feel motivation to get moving. Get moving and then the motivation will follow.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. NO SOMEDAY. You see life is never going to be this perfect storm of opportunity for you to be able to say “Ok…Now is the time.”

It starts when you put one foot in front of the other!

Think of all the “somedays” in your life. Those goals, those passions, those dreams that you’ve been putting off. Take on one of them and then DO. Do it.

Find a way, anyway, just to start! Right now decide to take a step, it doesn’t matter how small, just take a step. Take some form of action.

The progress that you’ll make will inspire you! It’ll then motivate you to keep going to see how far you can take it.

Find those topics. Find your “Somedays” and make them today…

Keep Growing. Keep Learning. Keep Fighting. Keep Hustling.
