Hustling 4 Happiness: What We ALL Really Want.

So here we go. Welcome to my first blog post on Medium!

If you follow me on Instagram then you already know I seek to give as much value as I can and now I can expand more with my words!

It’ll be short, sweet little nuggets of wisdom to hopefully enlighten whoever visits.

Apologies in advance for any misspellings or capitalized words that shouldn’t be. I normally do it to highlight specific points and words so you can better understand. So let’s dive in!

Why “Hustling 4 Happiness?”

Essentially, it’s what we all do. At the root of everything we want IS happiness.

We want that job, that car, that lover because we think we will feel better in the having of that external “thing.” However, the subtext or motivation as to why we want the external “things” is that they’re just representative of how we want to feel. Which is of course, happy!

So instead of busting our asses so hard for the “things” (which are all temporary anyway), how about we work for what we really want and what really matters. That’s happiness and fulfillment.

When we make this our focus, then we open ourselves up to life more. So, if we don’t wind up getting that specific job, car or lover, it’s ok because we realize what we really want is the feeling, not the thing.

It keeps us open and balanced. And then when that thing we thought we wanted so badly doesn’t show up? Life will surprise us with something EVEN BETTER than we originally imagined.

Always remember that Happiness is the goal. Always.

And why the number “4?” Because it represents the 4 factors needed to accomplish this goal and any goal. What I call, “The Fab Four.”

Your:

1. Thoughts

2. Emotions/Feelings

3. Actions

4. Habits

These make up the “Fab Four” and ALL of them need to be in alignment with each other, running on all cylinders to accomplish our goals. Especially, happiness.

So, what makes you happy? Music? Movies? Walks in nature? Whatever it is, jot it down and create a daily habit to indulge in things that bring you joy.

Think on these things. Feel the joy from these things. Act on them and repeat until it becomes a habit.

When you do this, it’ll change your consciousness over time. You’ll naturally feel better and happier as you move through life. Try it and let me know what works for you!
